Bertalan Mesko, MD, PhD, the author of The Guide to the Future of Medicine, is a medical futurist who graduated from the University of Debrecen, Medical School and Health Science center with Weszprémy Award as a medical doctor and finished PhD in the field of clinical genomics with summa cum laude.
As a medical futurist, he envisions the next steps and trends for companies and governments in order to make sure a mutually positive relation between the human touch and innovative technologies will rule the future of healthcare.
He is the managing director and founder of Webicina.com, the first service that curates the medical and health-related social media resources for patients and medical professionals. He has given over 500 presentations from the Yale, Stanford and Harvard University to the centre of the World Health Organization and the Futuremed course organized by the Singularity University at NASA; and is a health 2.0 consultant for pharma and medical technology companies. Healthspottr.com included him in the Future Health Top 100 list and was included in the New Europe 100 list in 2014.
He is the author of the Social Media in Clinical Practice handbook; as well as the multiple award-winning medical blog, Scienceroll.com; and the founder and lecturer of the Social Media in Medicine online and offline university course which is the first of its kind worldwide.

I have a web site where a computer model of cell proliferation in living tissue is published (www.cell-division-program.com). The program was made by my colleague with the theoretical background of my old articles. It is a program that naturally could not be fitted in a scientific journal. Besides, I don’t work. (A note about me exists on Wiki, there is also my personal story at http://ca.geocities.com/uoftfraud/)
Now, I wonder if you could popularize this cell-division-program site. Since it is not in a journal, people don’t know it. I think it must be very interesting to your readers, as it is the first work explaining how the structures of the tissues are formed and how cells are replaced by new ones.

Thanks. Well, when I started my site, I did not really know about Wikipedia. I thought of just creating a reference site for myself at first. Now that Wikipedia is popular, my site seems redundant. I am hoping now that I can write more extensive articles and I am in the process of adding new features (such as animation and java applets, and protocols) that are not available in Wikipedia. Though Wikipedia is definitely better in many ways!

I’m a second-year medical student at Yale trying to develop a wiki of the best resources on the web. There are already many variants of this (including the Medical Education 2.0 concept).
What I have been trying to do, however, is create a site that would allow students to post, comment on, and rate online resources. (Ideally, it would also allow users to upload screen shots of the site.)
Essentially, it would be like a restaurant review site, but for web resources.

Luckily, the librarians at the Cushing-Whitney Library at Yale thought this was a pretty useful idea and they asked their head developer to begin designing a more sophisticated site (using Jango, I believe).
